“L'Inquiétante étrangeté” ("The Uncanny") is Clarisse Dachy's first short film, produced by Logements Films.
A young woman wandering through Paris begins to feel that she is being followed. As her sense of reality begins to unravel, she can no longer tell whether she is being hunted or haunted by her own fears. Rather than continue to run, she turns to face the presence behind her.
The film seeks to make hypervigilance visible and palpable, while raising awareness of post-traumatic stress and exploring the invisible aftermath of sexual assault. Through a sensory and subjective experience, it immerses the viewer in the protagonist’s state of mind, where the boundaries between reality and perception gradually begin to blur.
Filming took place in late July 2025, and the film is currently in post-production.
